Welcome to my personal website!

I am the managing consultant psychiatrist, the head of the Outpatient Clinic and Day Clinic for Disorders of Social Interaction and group leader of the Independent Max Planck Research Group for Social Neuroscience at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry (Munich, Germany).

I am also a lecturer at the Department of Psychiatry at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (Munich, Germany), a faculty member of the International Max Planck Research School for Translational Psychiatry (IMPRS-TP) and associate faculty member at the Graduate School of Systemic Neuroscience (GSN; both: Munich, Germany).

Clinically as well as scientifically, my approach is based on the assumption that we can construe psychiatric disorders as disorders of social interaction. In particular, I focus on autism spectrum disorder, schizoprenia, affective disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD and personality disorders.

If you would like to make a clinical appointment, please contact the Outpatient Clinic for Disorders of Social Interaction. From July 2019 onwards I will be working at the LVR-Klinikum Düsseldorf/Kliniken der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf. To make appointments there please contact the Ambulanz Haus 21.

This website provides information about my academic activities, including research interests, my team, publications and talks.
