Welcome to my personal website!

I am a consultant psychiatrist and the head of the Outpatient Clinic for Disorders of Social Interaction at the  LVR-Klinikum Düsseldorf as well as the head of the Independent Max Planck Research Group for Social Neuroscience at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry.

I am also a lecturer at the Department of Psychiatry at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (Munich, Germany), a faculty member of the International Max Planck Research School for Translational Psychiatry (IMPRS-TP) and associate faculty member at the Graduate School of Systemic Neuroscience (GSN; both: Munich, Germany).

Clinically as well as scientifically, my approach is based on the assumption that we can construe psychiatric disorders as disorders of social interaction. In particular, I focus on autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, schizoprenia, affective disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD and personality disorders.

If you would like to make a clinical appointment, please contact the Ambulanz Haus 21 at the LVR-Klinikum Düsseldorf.

This website provides information about my academic activities, including research interests, my team, publications and talks.
